Lacewing Fine Art

We at Lacewing Fine Art are highly experienced fine art restorers, dealers and bespoke framers. For more than 40 years, we have developed a long history of excellence, and have become renowned in the fine art industry for our specialist conservation and restoration work. We have dealt with many clients from across the world, including individuals, companies and institutions of both small & large collections, major London galleries and country estates.

With our wealth of knowledge and experience, we are able to conserve and restore art from early English portraiture, Old Masters & Old Master Drawings, as well as contemporary paintings and sculpture.

Our range of services includes:

  • Painting Repairs, Restoration & Conservation
  • Picture Cleaners
  • Works of art on paper (Watercolours) Restoration & Conservation
  • Sculpture Restoration & Conservation
  • Frames & Mirrors Restoration
  • Gilding & Re-Gilding
  • Bespoke Museum Quality Framing – Water-Gilded, Carved, Veneered & Painted Frames
  • Complete Valuation Service for Insurance & Probate
  • Advice on the hanging, displaying or storing of works of art
  • Condition Reports & Estimates (in the event of damage to items)

Using the Original Frame for any picture is usually always the preferable option so you will be pleased to hear we offer a frame restoration service which includes a gilding service. However if this is not possible, due to it being missing or badly damaged, we can create a handmade, bespoke frame for you and your piece. Our Framing Studio can undertake bespoke framing, such as water-gilded, carved, veneered and painted frames.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact with us for further information on any of our services – we would love to hear from you!
