Frederick Andrews Ltd is a well-established firm of auctioneers, valuers, and clearance specialists, delivering professional and reliable services across Kent. Founded in 2004 by Michael Walkling, the company was built on a strong foundation of expertise, with over 18 years of prior experience in freelance auctioneering and valuation. The first saleroom opened in Sheerness, marking the beginning of a growing and respected presence in the regional auction industry.

In 2006, the business expanded significantly with the acquisition of PS Williams & Co, a long-standing auction operation based at Maidstone Market Hall, Lockmeadow. This development enabled Frederick Andrews Ltd to broaden its reach and establish two thriving salerooms. Today, the company conducts approximately 70 auctions annually across its Sheerness and Maidstone locations, offering a diverse and dynamic auction calendar.

Frederick Andrews Ltd specialises in a wide variety of items, including antiques, collectables, furniture, ceramics, porcelain, jewellery, gold, silver, glassware, clocks, toys, vinyl records, books, memorabilia, and general household goods. In addition to auctions, the company provides comprehensive house clearance services and professional valuations for probate, insurance, and private purposes.

The Maidstone auction takes place weekly on Thursdays at 10am and follows a traditional in-room format, with no online bidding. Featuring around 700 lots per sale, it offers a lively and efficient experience with two auctioneers operating simultaneously. Buyers benefit from clear displays, printed catalogues, and the convenience of same-day collection.

In contrast, the Sheerness auction is held every three weeks on Friday evenings at 5pm and operates exclusively online. With 400–700 lots per sale, all items are photographed and marketed globally, with bidding available via online platforms as well as commission and telephone options.

Frederick Andrews Ltd also hosts F.A Classics car and bike meets on most Fridays till October, further strengthening its role as a vibrant hub within the local community.
